Company Blogs

Ferris Jumah's blog for LinkedIn, right from the start is a friendly and entertaining one.  I think the use of the pictures and the video especially, really drew me in as the reader and it makes me envy his internship. I mean, who wouldn't want to get up and start dancing at a meeting? This is a place I would want to be, and love to work for.  The blog help's show that the company is about getting their job done in a fun and entertaining way which I can only imagine, keep's the employee's happy.
Zappos' blog written by Tony, was a very inspirational one.  The use of the email attachment and the video really helped show how they are inspirational. The company really seemed passionate about their work and making things better.  The company reminded me of a highschool class by the way they were all interacting with one another and were getting involved with the activities. The blog is showing how Zappos is a very inspirational comany, and I would like to work for a company so involved in their employee's and their relationships with each other.
Whole Story is a very cute blog that get's the younger kids involved in making the world greener.  I really like how there are step by step instructions for the kids.  This really makes the company look really good because they are not only environmentally friendly, but they are kid friendly as well and this will attract parents.  I also liked how at the end of the blog there is a link to like the book on facebook.
The second blog for Whole Story is another great blog.  I like how they decided to give out gifts and gift cards.  The pictures of the colorful merchandise can really help the company sell items.  I also really liked how the blog included pictures of healthy snacks and recipes along with the pictures.
All four of these blogs are a form of business communication in the way they "sell" each company. The first two blogs show how they are great companies to work for.  They are speaking to an audience looking for the right job that looks the most interesting to work at.  The last two blogs by Whole Story are not speaking to an employee audience but to buyers who could be interesting in their supplies and idea's.

Just Me.

Hey, my name is Sarah Andryshak. I am twenty years old, a Junior at Coastal Carolina University studying Accounting.  I am from Florida, New York in Orange County.  I decided to come down to South Carolina for a good education and for the beach of course.  I am a very shy person at first, but the more I get comfortable with someone I become very open and speak my mind. On my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.  Family is a big deal to me and I am very close with them. I also enjoy athletics and I am very competitive.  I like listening to all kinds of music like blues, rock, techno, rap, and country. I have traveled to many places such as Italy, Mexico, Canada, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, and many states as well.  I hope to travel more in the future to Italy again, Greece, Australia, Amsterdam, and California.
I am taking this coarse for my Accounting major. In taking this class, I hope it will defeat my fear of public speaking.  I can remember making my speeches in my Intro to Communication's class back in New York, and it isn't a great memory of mine.  My body shook uncontrollably and my voice became very shaky.  I hope this class will make public speaking easier for me. I expect this class to also give me knowledge on how to present myself in a business community and how to communicate properly.
